Smt Kushal Singh became first Women Chief Secreatry of Rajasthan

1974 batch IAS officer become the chief secretary of Rajasthan upto now she was CHAIRMAN, BORAD OF REVENUE, RAJASTHAN, AJMER. Born on 11th Oct 1949 in Rohtak district of Haryana, she will be first women to be appointed for the most coveted post in the state, she has wide experience at her disposal in various post in state and centre accompanied by a special training in England.
This may be an attempt by the Ashok Gehlot government to woo a particular community ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Singh replaces D C Samant, who on Friday took over as the chairman of State Electricity Regulatory Commission. Rakesh Hooja would now takes her place as the chairperson of Board of Revenue, Ajmer, the post she held since September 29, 2007. Prior to that, Singh was on long leave from November 2006 to June 2007 and then remained on awaiting posting order' (APO) for nearly three months. Singh had also been on APO thrice earlier, with the maximum duration being 28 days.
